Lynne discovered Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT) while working on orthopaedic problems associated with the elderly. She has subsequently developed and extended this technique to cover all age groups and many conditions including ME and other post-viral problems, insomnia and asthma. The large reflexology school, REFLE, in Japan runs a VRT diploma course. Knowledge of VRT is a required component on many professional accredited reflexology diploma courses.
Lynne conducted research into VRT with the medical team at the St. Monica Trust in 1997 and results of this small study on pain and mobility showed a 60%+ improvement in seven weeks. She works in the field of palliative care and in 2007 was invited by the Penny Brohn Cancer Care (formerly the Bristol Cancer Care Centre, to present a one day seminar on VRT and palliative care for medics and professional complementary therapists as part of the Expert Speaker Series.
