This Endocrine workshop is an advanced VRT course for reflexologists who have attended a Basic VRT day and offers a selection of new VRT techniques centred on the Endocrine system. However, all techniques taught, including the very powerful VRT nail-working, can be used to work on all systems in the body, not only hormonal.
VRT Courses in 2010 cost in the region of £99 - £105 per person, per day depending on location and organiser.
The workshop covers a variety of new techniques and updates on the further development of Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT).- The VRT nail-working you will learn is simple and can be applied to the hands as well as the feet. There will be practical and theoretical sessions in equal measure throughout the day.
- If it is a long time since you attended a VRT course, you will benefit from the brief revision at the beginning of the day when we treat each other with the updated VRT Basic five-minute treatment. The rest of the day is a mix of new theory and practical information where you will learn new ways of using VRT to treat the endocrine system.
- Topics covered in the theoretical sections and in the comprehensive handouts, include: menopause; pregnancy and childbirth; stress related illness; adolescence; thyroid problems and diabetes. The aim of VRT is to help the body to achieve balance (homeostasis) and help to trigger it to heal itself.
- Practical sessions for specific mini-treatments - VRT Endocrine Flush and Endocrine Balance.
- Stimulation of the pituitary reflex using the extremely powerful and unique "VRT Nail working".
- Self-help Hand reflexology for stress related problems – experiment with the powerful nail reflexes.
- The 20 minute Complete VRT/Reflexology treatment will be reviewed and experienced.
Why is VRT so effective?
The anatomical explanation for VRT’s efficacy is that the nerves on the passive feet are naturally desensitised but, when weight-bearing, these nerves become sensitised and appear to send a stronger healing impulse.
- A Certificate of Attendance will be issued. Approved by the AoR (12 CPD points) and Accredited by the CThA (5 CPD points).
- VRT enhances your work and can be incorporated into your usual full length treatment sessions without extending the time. It enables you to also offer effective shortened treatments, combining your reflexology and VRT for children, the workplace, hospices, residential homes, sports clinics as well as for family and friends.
