Nico Pauly writes:
"The human being lives in constant interaction with the environment, operated by the 5 senses like taste, smell, touch, hearing and vision. These senses act like normal peripheral nerves and transport the perceptions in the spinal cord or brainstem.
All mechanical and chemical processes in the body are observed and measured by numerous sensory nerve endings. These perceptions are also transported by peripheral nerves to the spinal cord and brainstem.
Environmental and body own perceptions are mixed up in the ascending pathways reaching the brain centers.
The brain deliberates all these impulses in order to give appropriate answers by descending pathways causing motor, organ and hormonal changes.
In this upgrade seminar we will focus on the AROUSAL pathways in the brain. The arousal pathways are responsible for the general and specific alertness of the human being regarding environmental and body own perceptions. These pathways run true the reticular formation, thalamus, limbic system and prefrontal cortex.
In this medial axis of the brain, tissue damage, environmental threats, stress and pain are mixed up with emotions, memory and subconscious impulses. Answers back in the body are performed by the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system and by hormones. It is obvious that organs are most sensitive on the impulses of the autonomic nervous system. That is why dysfunctions in organs are so closely related to emotions.
In this upgrade seminar we will explore the ascending pathways to the brain, the most important brain centers and we will focus predominantly on the arousal (emotional) axis. In praxis we will discover these important brain centers as nerve reflex points at the foot and how to connect these new points with nerve reflex points for nervous plexi of organs, combined with anatomical and topographical foot reflexology.
You will discover new NR points and new techniques of unique combinations between NR and conventional foot reflexology and of course connections with the emotional brain. We will introduce a soft form of organ mobilizations on the stomach area in order to release adhesions. And of course we will refresh some important NR techniques for the digestive system.
Together, we will not only enjoy learning new things and refreshing old stuff but certainly enjoy to meet again old and new friends. " Your tutors: Nico Pauly and Griet Rondel.

“Nerve reflexology finally offers the skills for detailed reflexology work in the nervous system, which until now has been more or less absent in classical reflexology. The quick impulses conveyed via the nerves "kick starts" the whole system, and the body becomes much more receptive to further treatment. With NR you acquire skills to work in a detailed, analytical way, without loosing the overall holistic approach, and certainly retaining the option to work intuitively as well. With Nico Pauly as a tutor you will receive qualified, professional teaching, delivered with a pleasant mix of theory and practice, not to forget a winning sense of humour!"
Nico Pauly has taught this Nerve Reflexology course for the professional federation of reflexologists in Holland (VNRT), Greece, the Uk and also for the Danish Reflexology Association. He has presented papers at the ART conference in London and the ICR international conference for reflexologists in Rome. He is a well known and highly respected medical physiotherapist and tutor, who had practised for 30 years in medical institutions and has used Froneberg and his own reflexology techniques for the past twenty years. Nico Paulywas affiliated to the IRSK-Wings organisation which is the Belgium scientific institute for post-graduate courses in the health sector and now runs a specialised Nerve reflexology and Manual Neuortherapy organisation called MNT-NR International. www.MNT-NR.COM He is a fluent English speaker with great communication skills. Reflexology needs to have as much medical/clinical input as possible if we are to gain the respect of the medical profession. This course will give you specialist skills that are easily integrated into your practice.
Nerve Reflexology Seminar Format
Level 1: The reflexologist or manual therapist will learn, over three days, many of the basic concepts of neuroreflexology plus specific technique for treating the lumbar and sacral spine. Specific techniques for treating the bladder, kidneys, intestines and reproductive system will also be taught. A 60 page manual is issued . A Certificate of Attendance will be issued by the MNT-NR International organisation. Authorised for 36 CPD points per Level by the Association of Reflexologists.Level 2 and 3: leading to a practical exam and MNT-NR International certificate of Qualified Nerve Reflexologist Total 108 CPD points). Nerve Reflexology is further developed in these levels with the entire spine and nerve innervations being treated. In Level 2 it is the thoracic, lower cervical spine and upper abdominal organs and in Level 3 it is the higher cervical spine. Level 3 not only studies the brain, ears, eye teeth reflexes and endocrine glands but also looks at the treatment of ME, Lupus and Arthritis among others. A 50 - 60 page manual is issued on both levels. At the end of the Level 3 weekend the reflexologist will take a practical exam (included in the price) which will lead to the presentation of the MNT-NR International certificate "Qualified Nerve Reflexologist".
Reading Matter
It is a fairly demanding course with a requirement to assimilate technical information on the central nervous system. Reflexologists who obtained good grades in the Anatomy and Physiology aspects of their course and enjoy further study should benefit from this course. Two recommended books on anatomy and on the central nervous system will be listed with your confirmation details. The 50-60 page manuals that are issued on each neurotherapy level are included in the price of the course. Extra reading suggestions will be sent to applicants prior to the course.Location
