Fertility Issues and all VRT Endocrine Techniques
This course is available for all reflexologists who have attended an authorised VRT course. Run by experienced reflexologist Christine Roscoe who specialises in Fertility Issues, the course will cover a wide range and combination of techniques from all VRT courses plus skills from other complementary therapies that Christine has learnt or developed over the years. There will be practical and theoretical sessions throughout the day. Techniques from the full VRT repertoire are used and taught.
Fertility Issues
- Looking at the reasons for fertility issues in men and women
- An examination of the tests and medical interventions that clients can expect
- An understanding of the kinds of treatments which clients may be offered
- Emotional and psychological perspectives of fertility issues
- Discussion of treating clients who are also undergoing assisted conception techniques
- A brief look at the A & P of the Reproductive and Endocrine Systems
- An holistic approach
- Looking at techniques from other complementary therapies such as Reiki, Precision Reflexology, VRT Endocrine, Magnet Therapy, Colour Therapy, Crystal Healing as appropriate for the client
- Looking at lifestyle and giving advice about diet, supplements, exercise, weight & self help - the 4 month Pre-Conception Plan.
- Helping clients to maintain a positive attitude through the use of relaxation, affirmations, visualisations
- Giving good information for self-help with suggestions of suitable books, websites, referrals and handouts
- The role of the Reflexologist
- The VRT nail-working you will learn is simple and can be applied to the hands as well as the feet. There will be practical and theoretical sessions in equal measure throughout the day
- Topics covered in the theoretical sections and in the comprehensive handouts, include: hormonal imbalance; stress related illness; adolescence; blood sugar disorders. The aim of VRT is to help the body to achieve balance (homeostasis) and help trigger it to heal itself and there will be a brief revision and practical session of Basic VRT principles
- Practical sessions for specific mini-treatments - VRT Endocrine Flush and Endocrine Balance
- Stimulation of the pituitary reflex using the extremely powerful and unique "VRT Nail working"
- Self-help Hand reflexology for stress related problems – experiment with the powerful nail reflexes
- The 20 minute Complete VRT/Reflexology treatment will be taught and experienced
We will look at some case studies and various combinations of techniques, both standing for vertical or weight-bearing work on the hands, as well as reclining techniques on the plantar of the foot.
During the latter part of the day, there will be opportunities to discuss issues of concern to attendees and to look at individual client’s problems.
We will put together a suggested sequence of techniques which can be practiced on clients with Fertility issues.
A certificate of attendance will be issued and handouts will be provided. Approved by the AoR (12 CPD points) and Accredited by the CThA (5 CPD points).
